LOGISTICS INSTITUTE

The Logistics Institute is a non-profit organization that certifies individuals working in logistics with the Professional Logistician (P.Log.) Designation. They are the industry’s leading source of logistics training and certification. Visit their website at www.LogInstitute.ca. 

KWANTLEN POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY (KPU)

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) offers a Citation in Parts and Warehousing (Foundation). This program provides theoretical and practical learning of various inventory ordering and control management techniques; preparing students for employment in the parts and service industry. For registered apprentices in Parts Person or Logistics and Distribution, KPU provides progressive in-school technical training towards apprenticeship and Red Seal completion. For more information. CANADIAN INSTITUTE OF TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION (CITT)

CITT programs and services are centered around a comprehensive certification process that leads to the CITT designation. CITT caters to the complete logistics menu with a focus on the transportation component. Their Program of Study challenges participants to develop skills that allow them to make decisions based on integrated logistics thinking. SAUDER SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

Sauder School of Business offers a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a Transportation and Logistics Option (TLOG). This option is designed to prepare students for careers with carriers, logistics functions in manufacturing and distribution firms, and government departments at the city, provincial, and federal levels. You will receive training in transport economics and management, government investment and regulatory programs affecting transportation and utilities, and business logistics. Courses emphasize current and applied problems and the use of computers in management and problem solving. It is recommended that you use electives to gain complimentary knowledge in related fields such as marketing, finance, and quantitative methods. BRITISH COLUMBIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (BCIT)

BCIT offers an Operations Management Certificate with a Materials Management Option – This program provides working adults with the training and education necessary to pursue a career in materials management. The program is of interest to anyone involved in materials management, buying, or related professions. Others benefiting from this program include: production and inventory control professionals who want to increase their knowledge of the field; newcomers to the profession who want to acquire a solid foundation on which to build a career; and those choosing careers in purchasing, accounting, production supervision, traffic or warehousing. MATERIALS HANDLING AND MANGEMENT SOCIETY OF ONTARIO

The Materials Handling and Management Society of Ontario (MHMS), our sister organization, offers a Professional in Materials Management (P.MM) designation. Visit their website at www.mhmsontario.com.

Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA)

Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT)

CITT is Canada’s leading professional development organization in the supply chain and transportation logistics sector. They promote professional excellence and advancement for transportation logisticians by offering professional certification, development and networking opportunities.

The Association for Operations Management (APICS)

APICS builds operations management excellence in individuals and enterprises through superior education and training, internationally recognized certifications, comprehensive resources, and a worldwide network of accomplished industry professionals.
